The proposed intervention aims to prepare a Competition Law for Mozambique. This will be done notably by bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders to discuss the content of a competition policy and law for Mozambique. The intervention also will support a dialogue on the important aspects, principles and instruments for the development of a policy, law and related institutions.

It is envisioned that a 3-day retreat that brings together all relevant stakeholders will be held with support of BizClim. In addition, experts will help facilitate discussion during the retreat as well as help finalize the policy and law. These experts will also help to finalize the competition law as well as statutes necessary for any competition policy institution needed to implement the policy and law.

It is envisioned that BizClim will also provide support in the translation, production and dissemination of the policy and law as well as support awareness building workshop in each of the 11 Mozambican provinces as well as follow-on capacity building training to assist with the implementation of the competition policy and law.
