Study for the establishment of an African Diaspora Investment facility (ADIF). The facility is designed to provide enterprising and entrepreneurial members of the African diaspora community with informational, technical and financial instruments required to make successful investments in Africa.
The ADIF is envisaged as a partnership between the private sector, the international donor community and African governments and institutions. It will support potential diaspora investors with information and technical assistance in translating their business ideas into “bankable investments”. It will also make available an investment fund accessible to diaspora entrepreneurs with enterprise creation and expansion activities in the continent.
This study will examine the issues required in establishing such a facility as well as its underlying
principles and operating manuals. A subsequent set of two events will be organized in view of ensuring stakeholders (potential investors and beneficiaries) interest in the investment fund component of the facility.
